How we verify offers

Nothing appears on this site as "verified" unless a human has taken that exact offer through a real TickPick checkout and recorded the result with a date. When we can't confirm an offer, we say so and mark it unverified. When we find nothing live, the site says that too.

The test procedure

  1. Source the offer. TickPick's site and app, its emails, and its social posts — not other coupon sites.
  2. Reach a real checkout. We add qualifying tickets to a cart on the device the offer targets (most codes are app-only, so usually an iPhone running the current TickPick app).
  3. Apply the offer. Codes are entered in the promo field; credits are checked against the price summary. The test passes only when the discount is visible in the final payable total.
  4. Record everything. Date, device, checkout stage reached, and a screenshot of the applied discount. The date you see on an offer card is this test's date — never a relative "verified recently" label.
  5. Publish or reject. Confirmed offers go live with their date and proof. Failed or unconfirmable offers are listed as unverified or not at all — we don't publish rumors as facts.

Status labels, precisely

  • Verified — passed the procedure above on the date shown.
  • Unverified — reported elsewhere, but our test couldn't confirm it. Listed only when naming it protects you from wasted effort.
  • Expired — previously verified, now failed a re-test. Kept visible so you can see we don't hide dead offers.

Re-testing and freshness

Evergreen offers (the new-user credit, referral program, Best Price Guarantee) are re-tested on a recurring schedule and after any TickPick policy change we notice. Codes are re-tested near their expiry or after user reports of failure. The "last checked" date site-wide reflects real test timestamps from our data file — the site rebuilding itself daily does not advance any verification date.

Fee data

Fee percentages in the calculator and fees study come from pricing identical seats across marketplaces and recording each site's advertised-vs-final-total gap. Because fees vary by event and demand, we publish both averages and observed ranges, and date every refresh.

What we will never do

  • Invent codes, or republish aggregator codes we haven't tested.
  • Show countdown timers, fake urgency, or "verified 2 hours ago" labels.
  • Let affiliate relationships touch a verification result — the test outcome publishes whether or not it favors a purchase.
